ABOUT ABOUT

Learn to take exceptional product photos that SELL. All levels welcome.

"I can't stress this enough … it's so important to have photos that appeal to the customer." Kim Konen, former Etsy employee and full-time Etsy seller, Etsy Conversations

Workshop Part I: Lecture

Demystify product photos with Rachel Potucek of The People's Soap Company. Rachel will break down what makes an eye-popping, brand-searing photo. Learn best practices for e-commerce, social media, craft show applications, and retail pitches.

Rachel's photos have been featured by Etsy and Unique LA, the largest modern maker's festival in Los Angeles county. She has a 100% acceptance rate to craft festivals and wholesale accounts in the US and internationally.

Workshop Part II: Demo: Photo Stations

Explore three simple types of product photography setups you can do at home, and learn which is right for you. Featuring Aleksey Volchek, Long Beach-based photographer whose 10+ years of photography experience include product photography and a degree in Marketing from CSULB.

Workshop Part III: Hands-on Practice

With help from Aleksey and Rachel, you will practice taking your own product photos. You're free to roam MADE in Long Beach's creatively inspiring spaces, or opt for a white-background photography station provided for you.
